Although I don't really like having the latest tech (which is going to sound hypocritical), I also don't like missing out on features or having to keep track of how many days of support i have left on my product that just launched.
In my daily basis i use different pieces of tech, but here are the most "important", each with its own tab up above:
My main PC
built it with a friend, it has an RTX 5070, with a Ryzen 7 7700X, 32GB of RAM and a 480GB SSD, it used to have a 1TB nvme, i too wonder where it is now...
Thinkpad E470
i haven't seen many people with this model of Thinkpad, got it for 80€ and replaced the battery of it, i also upgraded it to 12GB of RAM DDR4. For the price i found it kinda fair, currently it runs on Debian LTS
Before you call me a "performative shizo" or sum bs like that, let me explain each service i run here and why. Of course i dont self-host everything for extrictly privacy reasons, i use an iPhone and i post on twitter while i watch YouTube to eat and scroll on instagram. This was more of a fun project because i had the opportunity to get all i needed for the server for free, including the raspberry pi and the storage.
Raspberry Pi 4
A Raspberry Pi 4 Model B with 4GB of RAM that like i mentioned before, i got for free, with a 4TB HDD on a external case as the server storage and a SD card for the OS and others. Enough power and storage for my things.
Nextcloud - Cloud Storage
Besides Drive, tell me any other free alternative that doesn´t suck and gives you a razonable amount of storage, im a person who needs A TON of storage, drive wasn´t enough, google at the moment was (and is) one of my less favorite companies so i had to find an alternative. By using Nextcloud im able to have full control of my files and not them getting stolen since im a person of interest and/or being used to train AIs, i also have more storage, in my server i have 1TB dedicated to NextCloud while the free plan of drive gives you 15GB. Right now the only Google service i use its YouTube.
Jellyfin - Media Server
Im from Spain where streaming movies can be a pain in the ass, rn every country has their corresponding lenguage to the backrooms movie in streaming except or Spain, or South Park (i love it) where the last seasons are not avaliable here but are actually dubbed to castillian. Obsession too, its not in streaming but the castillian version leaked somehow, the point i want to make is that i shouldn´t be going trough several streaming services that are probably going to remove the media i want to watch because spanish people LOOOVE their shitty comedy shows and theres not any demand for any show/movie that requires more than 30 of IQ. I should have everything i want on a single service whenever i want. self-hosting my media its the easy way out
MeTube - Media downloader
Spanish goverment is known for blocking websites like media downloaders and others. Also most of the ones you find on a search are trash and dont accept half the services MeTube does, wich allows me to scrap videos from websites that usually dont have a native download option.
Aria2 - Download manager
My fucking SSD explodes if i try downloading something on it, i just download all my stuff to the server and send it to my main computer, it works well and it stops my SSD from going 100% when im doing and downloading something at the same time.

got it during The incident, i also got it before the price went up, mainly used for note-taking.
